How many of you have lots the weight and could stop talking high blood pressure pills or the like?

For years I've been on one pill for my high blood pressure is out of control again and he's got me on 2 more, but my weight has stayed pretty much constant I'm about 324lbs. I want to get off the damn things but so I have to lose the weight.

What do you guys do during the winter months to keep the weight off, at least those who can't bike? yes the winter question may seem early but I've may only have 2.5 months before the snow comes.

I am still hoping to lose the weight. This winter I plan to increase my use of the gym. I can't think of an activitiy I would like to do in the winter to replace the riding so I will continue to ride. I have a winter bike.

Gas, .69 cents the price of a can of beans.

I've lost 59 pounds and have come off cholesterol med and am working on getting off the last diabetes pill. The BP meds are next but that will take a little longer.

if cycling is the way you want to go (in all weather) you could either get a set of rollers and cycle indoors, or build up a set of snow tires for your bike and just keep on riding it. (i haven't ever actually done the latter, but it looks like a ton of fun. No snow where i am.....ever)

another option is if you have a gym or indoor pool nearby, swimming is another great way to get/stay in shape. it works your upper body as well which is good. your body wants to be in proportion, so you can get faster, better results working your whole body (specifically upper and lower halves) than you can just working one part.

Get a Pugsley. I think you are far enough north to get plenty of use out of it.
