Hello,

I will be 60 in a couple of months. I resumed riding about 8 years ago after my wife convinced me to buy a new bike. I had been riding an early 80's vintage Schwinn High Siera mountain bike. She was riding a Bianchi road bike and I found it difficult to keep up when everybody else was on road bikes. I purchased a Bianchi San Remo touring bike. In recent years we have been on numerous orgainized bike rides. Last year we started riding Tueday evenings with a group from Island Park Cycles in Fargo, ND. Riding with a larger group (20-40 riders) has been a great experience. We ride faster with the group than we would ride by ourselves.

Last month I got a new bike. I purchased another Bianchi. This time I got the all carbon 928 C2C. It is one sweet bike.

This weekend we are going to Northfield, MN for the Jesse James Ride on Saturday, then the St. Paul Classic in St. Paul, MN on Sunday. The following week we will do the Minneapolis Bike Tour. At the end of September we will be doing the Headwaters 100 in Park Rapids, MN. That should be the end of orgainized rides for the year. However, we will be doing some biking in Sonoma, CA in October.

I just got another bike last weekend. My son in-law gave me his Cannondale Prophet 1000 mountain bike. I will be playing with that this fall and maybe even into the winter.
