With all this shuffling of riders and sponsors going on in the European Peloton, 2009 is shaping up to be an exciting season!
Rabbobank drops Colnago for Giant
Team Columbia switches to Scott bicycles
Saxo Bank on Specialized bikes (It is going to look weird watching Fabian go for a 3-pete on a Transistion)
Cervelo forms a Pro-Continental team and immediatly signs Sastre
The deep pocketed Oleg Tinkov recruits his rich Russian friends and starts throwing millions around
Could 2009 be cycling's Phoenix?

Barloworld, CA and Gerolsteiner leave a lot of pro material just sitting around before the next season.
Milram on Focus.
Canyon back and better than ever with Silence-Lotto.

I'm with botto on this one. Mildly interesting, sure; something to chat about in the off-season, maybe. But once the rubber hits the road in the spring, it doesn't matter.
I guess the last two bullet points are valid.

Forget all that crap.

sorry, but i fail to understand how a team changing it's equipment is exciting?
You're completely correct, nothing exciting about a team changing equipment.
What's exciting is the sheer volume of equipment changes going on.
Change is in the air, I can feel it.

As a Specialized rider....
When the world champion crushes souls on a Transition, will they start telling us Specialized is the fastest frame around? Marketing will be a change.
I'll also be curious to see where working with Bjarne and company takes their product development, if anywhere.
