Its my GT Nomad. Beside the ugly color and no decent rack setup, I'm happy with my first "real" bike since my Spirit of '76 Huffy. Now, can I add the 700c Xtracycle kit to it? I know I will need read disc brakes.

That should work. If you order the 700c kit, you can still use the V brakes. If you go to disc brakes, you need a new rear hub/wheel.

Good. I'll just swap out the regular brakes for v-brakes then.
The lacking of a good rack/bag setup has always bothered me on what I consider a great valued bike. I'm wanting to get the Xtracycle so the Young Prince can ride with me and long weekend rides and so I can carry something.

Don't forget new levers too. The canti levers don't pull enough.
