We opted to take the Tandem to Breakfast this morning instead of driving.
More and more of the Regulars at our neighborhood diner are showing up
on their bikes and this morning was no exception. Ours was one of several
parked out front. After a hearty breakfast of eggs, home fries, beacon, toast
and coffee we decided to ride down to Ontario Beach Park, just a short ride
down the road. It was a glorious morning without a cloud in the sky and the
park was all but empty so we rode all around it and really enjoyed ourselves.
Here’s a pic of my bride and our ride in front of the Gazebo/Bandstand.

And here’s an uglier one, I’m in it. (it took a couple tries to get the timer thingy
figured out on the Canon).

We had a great time in spite of the heat (85 F), high humidity and the remnants
of Gustav blowing in our face to the tune of 30mph+ as we climbed our way
back home. The round trip was an enjoyable 6.30 miles, just a nice little cruise.
We’re both anxiously looking forward to our next tandem adventure together.
