Northern California - Who felt it

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

About five minutes ago. Earthquake.
+10. Sweaty palms in Orinda for a couple of seconds
Felt pretty strong here in Danville but didn't last long at all. Ramon added this link in tomorrow's ride thread: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/...nc51207740.php (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Quakes/nc51207740.php).

News just said it was a 4.0 - 4.2 in Alamo.
Mild shaking of my apt in sunnyvale. Thought it was the neighbors kids jumping at first but they are not home.

It was pretty much just a bump sideways. Or back and forth. Depending upon which way you were facing.
No fair. Not six hours after I leave, and then there's an earthquake. Figures.
Felt pretty different to the ones I've felt from the Hayward fault. There's a thrust fault out under/near Diablo, right?
Some jigglage and slight creaking and the cats and dog acting a bit freaked. Only shook for about 5 seconds at most... and I'm just a few miles away supposedly.

Felt it here in San Fran. My first West Coast Earthquake. Thought the lady upstairs fell or something.
Felt it down here in Union City - it lasted for about 10 secs.

I keep remembering that commercial for that Life Alert gizmo... "I've fallen and I can't get up!"

I just felt one jolt (in south east SF). I wonder if Mt. Diablo gained any altitude from this jolt?

In Lafayette it was a big jolt/noise that only lasted a couple seconds. No swaying just a thump.

Didn't feel it at all ... or maybe it was because I was just enjoying the Dodgers rockin' the D-backs? :D

I thought somebody bumped the couch I'm sitting on but nobody was around so I looked around for any movement but didn't see anything. Got spooked a little.
Wow.. I was sitting here reading.. I thought it was the guys upstairs.

meh ... weak.
I've been in CA a little over a month and haven't felt one yet. I'm sure I'll continue to confuse them for bass from my speakers or the garage door opening. I want to see the earth open up and swallow Hunter's Point!

I was at the Nine Inch Nails concert in Oakland. I thought I felt something but just figured it was the crowd getting into The March of the Pigs.

Nooo no no. Marina gives the best treats for Halloween. Tenderloin. *snaps finger* Let Tenderloin disappear.
