So I have a file folder that contains a lot of music. When I search for something in the explorer window, it on't return any results but, I can find the file manually. Can anybody explain this?
not searching with the correct extension?

Microsoft reminds me of GM in the 1980s. Back then, GM was making money hand over fist, and pissing on their customers at the same time. Kind of like Microsoft in 2008. That won't end well. It catches up with you. Trust me on this.

Turn on AdvancedOptions and turn ON the option to include non-indexed files.

As a GE Employee who along with many, many others are not real happy with the leadership of the company, I have to say don't bet on it.
