I have an old Crosman, an old Benjamin and an old Sheriden from when I was much younger. More recently I bought a BSA springer for plinking. I like the BSA because it is easty to cock and load so I can shoot more often.

Almost 40 years ago my brother in law had an old Benjamin. It had gotten a mass of pellets stuck in the barrel so he gave it to me. I disassembled it and tried to fix it but couldn't. Well about 10 years ago I discovered that there was someone in my area that was a repair depot for one of the manufacturers, so I took the gun to him and he cleared the barrel. I went back to my mother's house, found the boxes with the other parts in them, and put the gun back together. I boxed it up and gave it back to my brother in law for Christmas. Then a few years after that he gave me my old Benjamin back. It had been loaned to my grandfather to use on his farm and after his death I didn't know where the gun went. He tracked it down, had it repaired and gave it back to me.

those old Benjamins are great guns and very collectible! Mac 1 airgun in California makes and sells "steroided" versions of them and Bryant and Associates in South Carolina sells rebuild kits and other parts for them. Great old airguns to keep alive and shooting! :thumb:

Rifles are much more powerful than the pistols. The beauty of airguns is that you can still shoot them in places where firearms are too dangerous and are prohibited ... like in your suburban backyard. The quality and accuracy of higher-end airguns equals and even exceeds the quality of fine firearms.

I have been throwing the idea of an airgun around lately. The shooting range is 20 miles away and with the cost of ammo, it is hard to get out regularly. i could still have fun at home in the backyard with a pellet rifle though. Damn you. Time to go shopping.
