It's been many years since I rode a bike but I'm getting into it again and I'm going to begin training for the AIDS Lifecycle ride between San Francisco and Los Angeles that's happening in May, 2009.
Several friends and bike pros recommend I buy an aluminum frame road bike, such as the Specialized Sequoia Elite, because they are designed for long distance riding. I've recently lost a lot of weight (over 100#) from weight loss surgery and working out and I'm currently 255#. Although I'll continue to lose weight (even faster when I start training) I'm concerned that where I am now that I exceed the weight limit for a lightweight aluminum frame. Should I be concerned?
