I need to commute from Brisbane to South Hayward. I want my commute to take no longer than 1 hour or so. I also want it to be as cheap as possible using a public transportation/biking combination.

I am thinking of biking to the Embarcadero BART station (about 8 miles) and taking that all the way to the South Hayward station. This would cost me about $9 round-trip. I don't know any busses that travel from Brisbane to Hayward....does anyone else know??

Any other suggestions in making my commute cheaper/faster??

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is the AC Transit Line M Transbay bus that goes over the San Mateo bridge from San Mateo and Foster City to the Hayward BART station, round trip would cost you $7. Not sure how the timing would compare.
