First up sorry about the un original thread title.

I am new as you probably guessed and I signed up because everytime I searched a topic on bikes I ended up on an archived thread for this very forum. I was going to hang round in the background but i got a friendly email saying i should introduce myself :thumb:

sooooo about me. I'm Josh from across the pond I'm a maths student and a poor one at that (in both senses). I'm actually a runner but i've done a bit of cycling on mountain bikes on and off road. Currently building a single speed road bike for razzing about town and taking on cars at the traffic lights :D

I have a terrible sense of humour so i apologise for that in advance!

I think you have a British sense of humour? Nothing terrible about it--just not necessarily intelligible to many of the readers here :D .

What part of the UK are you in?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

No its pretty universally bad honest!

I'm in scotland fife in particular so lots and lots of hills and country lanes with the added obstacle of a tracter round every corner! studying in glasgow which is a whole different ballgame only had one incident with a rude gesture and a white van man so far :twitchy:
