Has anyone had problems with floor pumps working on presta valves? I bought an ascent one a few months ago and didn't have problems on my mt bike, but when I started using it on my road bike, it just kinda stopped working. It seems like its not actually making a connection with the valve and just inflating air in the hose instead. Anyone?

Does the chuck have two holes? One for Presta and one for Schrader. I had a hose like this and air would come out of the hole not being used depending out the position. There is a valve inside that slide back and forth with gravity. Try changing the position.

Yeah, its an over/under type. I'll try some different positions.

Mine does that sometimes. I Push the head into the valve and the valve into the head from the tire side and pump to get it started. Works for me.

Are the road valves Presta? If so, you have to loosen the threaded valve on the top before it will allow air in.
