I hate to have to do this, but...
Ordered a shorter 80 mm stem 6/29 to install on my road bike for a double century charity ride 9/6. There was NO indication on my order that the item was not in stock. I figured 2 months is plenty of time to sort it all out. Received notification that stem was on back order for a week and a half. Okay, I can wait. Two weeks later I email, "Hi, has this shipped yet?" Response was the stem is not available until the end of the month? Okay, I can wait. Hell, I can install it the night before the ride! Received a note that the item will ship soon. Great! Nope! The item is still back ordered. Huh? Finally, I ask is there any other stem in the size I need. Yes! Great can I purchase it please? Yes. On 8/27, an email says the item will ship today. Great! Should arrive in time. Alas. Item actually ships 9/2. On 9/5, we pack the car and leave for the ride at about 3:30 PM. According to the tracking log, said stem arrives at my door at 4:32 PM!
The ride was great! Maybe I don't even need a shorter stem. But it makes for a funny online retailer review doesn't it?
