Introductions - Hi!
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi! I'm from Adelaide, Australia. I've just started riding and have lots to learn! Right now I'm riding around on the road on my dodgy mountain bike ...and I'll admit it - I rode it most of the way up a big hill today and had to get off and push it the last 100m - lol!! I really enjoy it though (riding, that is - not pushing the bike up the hill). When my riding and climbing abilities get a bit more respectable I'm planning on getting a road bike (because I'm sure it wouldn't be a good look hopping off a proper road bike and pushing it up the hill!!) - and I plan on doing some decent rides over the summer!!

Hello Nic--don't be too bothered about getting off and walking. I have to do that on occasion for various reasons (too much sun/glare will trigger a migraine), not to mention that most of my bikes are either 10 or 12 speeds, and sometimes I just don't have quite the 'oomph' necessary to glide up those hills!
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
