Hi guys, I'm doing what I consider my first LDC, around 208km (130 miles), this week. I'm a medium experienced tourist, just back from a 940km (587 miles) loaded tour in France (averaged 68km per day).

This will be my first time to attempt this distance. I did several 110km days fully loaded recently so I'm confident I'll make it *most* of the way!

I'm estimating 12 hours for the distance (my average loaded is usually around 22km/h so adding 2-3 hours padding).

Do you guys have any recommendations for a newbie to LDC, especially around nutrition, rest and how much gear to take? I was considering bringing one pannier but it might be overkill. We get a lot of rain here so I plan to have rain jacket, shoe covers, etc.

Make some baked tofu! pour braggs or soy sauce on tofu add spices bake in over @300 for a couple hours the tofu will dry out and make jerky. great energy! Also hardboiled eggs. I used to have this old bicycle book my mom gave me from the 70s it before energy bars people would just bring hardboiled eggs. They are way cheaper but after 2-3 in one day you get alittle sick of them. Real meat jerky is a good ideal too.

there is this product called emergcy its a powered drink in these little packets they make a fizzy sports drink thats not too sweet and full of vitames.

Stay hydrated, if your an exp. tourist you'll be fine.
