I am working on shimano sg triple chainring and need advice as to the position of the ramps (rivet and plate) to the crank arm position.
The ring has 2 ramps in 2 locations.
Thanks..j
on the large ring there should be a small post, that goes towards the back of the crank arm. the chainrings should have marks engraved on them that you match up to align them with each other.

If there is no post there will be a "hump" midway between the mounting points that you align with the crank. Failing all of this, if you look at the chainrings, all the ones that matter will have, 180 degrees from each other, two teeth that look like they have been cut down. The chain rings need to have these teeth aligned.

I found the posts, being behind the arm I didn't notice them, I had put pencil marks on the chairings which I cleaned off.
Then on re assembly thought I was REALLY not aware as I could see the posts\line of ramps, but where in relation to the crank arm?
Thanks. :D
