Is it possible with the WE BD 36 kit to just add another battery in series to get 48V?

From reading other posts it sounds like this is doable.

I would need to get 48V controller and charger?

Would the motor take the additional 12V?

Is this possible?

I would really like to be able to go more than 5 miles on a charge.

Thank you!

most bikes can take it just add another 12v bat
and try or open your controller and check the fets and cap rating
i run my 24v system at 42v and have put more
than 3300km so far

The motor will take an additional 12 volts. The brushes may wear out more quickly, but it's quite possible the brushes will live a very long time anyway.

You may find that adding 12 volts makes your range stay pretty much the same, or if you run the throttle really hard your range may actually go down with increased voltage.
