Foo - Survey About Your Entertainment - Class Project

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello, i'm doing a survey for my statistic class and i need as many answers as possible so if you would just be so kind as to answer these 2 simple questions for me i'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
SURVEY QUESTIONS:
1) If you could go out for entertainment this weekend, to which one of the following events would you most like to go?
1 Movie
2 Concert
3 Sports event
4 Dance club
2) What is the maximum dollar amount that you would be willing to pay to go to this entertainment event?

Concert - $50/person
Most likely a movie $25
Second choice, concert, but I am selective about who I go see. $100
Concert.
By "maximum amount" are you talking about just the ticket price? Or the total wall to wall cost of attending, including transportation, meals, and incidentals?
$15 for the ticket, $17.82 for everything else.
3) Sporting event. Many are free (I go to marathons, triathlons, etc --- have a marathon I officiate at Sat - and there's a regatta Sunday that I'll bike down too) - where as other events like drag racing or baseball/football games or boxing are like $20 plus tickets (arena football) and add another $10-$15 in food/beverages I guess.

1 - Move - 40$ for 2
2 - night in with some wine and my fiance - 50$ (I know it wasn't an option but I don't do clubs often, this is my party scene)
If...and I mean IF...I plan on going to a club, its usually a 200$ night. Hence why I don't do it often.

Concert.
Since I usually buy in advance and four tickets, about $250

None of the above. I'd rather ride singletrack. That said, probably 1 @ the drive-thru, unless a really cool band I wanted to see was in town or a show I wanted to see was around. US$12, plus the concessions food is tasty.

I wouldn't. None of these types of things appeal to me.

I'd go to a bar with live music, pay a $10 cover. Not sure if you'd consider this a concert or dance club, depending on where I go it might be a cover band with a dance party ;)

Movie $10
First choice would be a sporting event, so long as I can define "sporting event" as "bike ride with friends". I'd pay $40-50 (gas money to get there, bridge toll, maybe lunch).
If that doesn't work, I'd go see a good movie for $10, so long as the theatre is clean, the patrons are quiet and sans children/cell phones, and the theatre doesn't stick TV commercials before the movie or subscribe to the "louder is better" mantra when it comes to the sound system.

Concert, $20/person.
Dancing (I guess dance club but not your typical one) $5.

I didn't think of that. I figured by "sporting event" a professional level game was implied. Obviously that wasn't wise.
I'd go for a ride, spending up to $30. Or I might go to a shooting match and spend up to $40. Though I have spent upwards of $1000 to attend (and participate in) a shooting match.
The bottom line is that I don't much care for passive entertainment. TV, movies, concerts, professional sporting events, etc. are passive entertainment. I also don't care for dance clubs - too crowded, too noisy, too chaotic. I much prefer active stuff or reading.

Sports event ... $200 max (but I'd be swearing under my breath as I handed over the cash!)

Normally I would say sports event (FSU football!), but the preggo wife couldn't take 3 hours on bleachers.
