This doesn't give me much time to work on position but I might be game.

Will keep you posted.

I'd consider it, but I tend to ride in an un-aero position, don't have any aero goodies, and have never done anything like this before (read: if you have enough others and are absolutely looking to do this I could be talked into it, but I'd probably be better off riding elsewhere).

Oh the course is sick close to me. Gotta get clearance from the tower...but I want to do it...

If they use the same course as the 2-man TT from earlier this year it's pretty flat.... ok, REALLY flat. IIRC the most elevation change is a highway overpass before the turn around. It's something like 580 feet of "climbing" over the course.

Considering last year I got 2nd to last at 1 hour 8 minutes ... oh the shame! I think I have to do it just so I can show my face in public.

Oh yeah. It's really close to my normal riding areas so I would expect nothing less. Also means I am defintiely conditioned for it. :D
Colochange...no worries. I like doing TT's but I suck at them. I haven't been able to maintain my focus throughout an entire event yet.
Tower gave a tentative "ok" for this. Need to hope for an early start time. With there being no more time left to pre-register (unless I drop it in the mail tonight I guess) I will have to be there early for a good start time. OK by me I guess. Lets me compensate for the weather if it ends up bad.

I just popped for the annual license and I'm registering. Let the suffering begin.
Now if it would quit raining so I can work on my TT position. ;)

With the impending rain it looks like I may or may not be in. It is either this or the Spin Doctors ride. The way I see it the spin docs ride will suck in the rain, but racing a TT in the rain would be OK - less people - more of a chance to do OK.
I think I may switch my bike to the TT setup tonight regardless. That way I have options. If I do the Spin Docs ride then I can ride my flyte/campy setup - just need to switch the pedals last minute.

If it's anything there like it is here, you should take that TT helmet, flip it upside down, hop inside and paddle it like a kayak.
Good luck to both of you two.

It was a mess. Total drenching. I got some hardware though. 3rd place in 30+.....out of 4. :o
I could have done better, but my fit isn't right on my TT setup. Oh well....
Still turned a 1:04 40k.....23.3 mph. :thumb:

Holy deluge. Even bring two pairs of shoes (so that my race shoes would stay dryer ... yea right), a rain jacket and rain pants ... I still got soaked in the warm up and was drenched before the start. As I'm riding up to the start line, I see #58 take off ... I'm #54 and begin an immediate panic! The starter says they sent him early and I try to settle down.
I take off, slow to clip in again ... grrr. and off we go. I started fairly slowly and then ramped it up.
First 20 minutes:
22.3 mph, 278 watts, 158 hr
Second 20 minutes:
23.5 mph, 268 watts, 161 hr
Last 20 minutes:
25.0 mph, 273 watts, 165 hr
So, 1:00:03. yep ... three freekin seconds!!!!!
UGHHHH!!!!!
I could have and should have gone harder.

You forgot to mention you placed 1st in cat 5. Nice job man. Now...if any of us could ever be half as good as alien2......
pretty impressive numbers for both of you considering the crap conditions. heck, given perfect conditions i would struggle to hit those numbers. nice work. later.

FWIW - My numbers are off. I put in 40k instead of the actual distance when calculating speed. My avg was actually 22. :o
