Road Cycling - Romani Bikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of Romani bikes. I got a Romani Road bike that has a custom hexagon frame, but I can not find any information about Romani anywhere. If anyone can give me anything info that would be great.
I have an old Romani frame (circa 1980) made of Columbus SL tubing. According to the decals the company was established in 1924. It was imported by Mel Pinto Imports in Falls Church, Virginia. Mel ran an cycle goods import business and two shop: Bicycle Pro Shop in Georgetown and Bicycle Village in Falls Church.
Jeez Steve,
I haven't thought of Bicycle Village in years.
Of course I never thought of it as IN Falls Church
(I lived in City of Falls Church, we were very
exclusive and selective of neighborhoods allowed in :D )
Mel sure imported some interesting stuff.

Marty,
Bicycle Village was located at the Willston Shopping Center when I purchased the frame which I think was actually in Arlington but with a Falls Church postal code. Later, Mel moved the business to a new location on Annandale Rd. between Lee Highway and Route 50.
I still have some Cortina wool jerseys I bought from Mel.
I didn't live in the City of Falls Church but in the Ravenwood subdivision behind Lord & Taylor.
