Upstate NYer here. Are you looking for studs?
It depends. I'm not familiar with that model bike. What size are your wheels?
It also depends on if you're riding on or off-road, and if on-road, whether you'll be waiting for the plows and salt trucks or not.
All that said, the best brand is Nokian. http://www.suomityres.fi/winter.html They cost more than other winter tires, but they last a lot longer. There are models to fit your bike and intended use.
Peter White Cycles in NH is the best-known Nokian dealer. http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/studdedtires.asp
Speedgoat.com (http://www.speedgoat.com/) and ebikestop.com (http://www.ebikestop.com/) tend to have better prices, though.

i am looking for something which will handle anything from deep snow, ice, slush and crappy road conditions if that helps. i'm not sure of the tire size since i replaced my old ones with slicks for riding on pavement. i am looking towards riding this winter to get out of the house....
thanks

I think the Schwalbe Marathon Winters look real nice and could be a good fit. What size are your slicks?
