Electric Bikes - Anyone buy from this dealer...

I'm looking to get a 48v kit and I'd like to know if anyone has any experiences (good or bad) with this dealer and the kit he sells.

looks like a golden motor kit. most people stopped selling them because of the poor quality and many problems..
do a google on golden motors. They can be bought directly from gm but most people get lemons, crooked rims etc etc.

most people run the amped kits at 48V. As far as batteries Ebay

It seems this company's kits sell their batteries separately (you would think a kit should include everything an e-bike needs to get going.) However, their 48V 20AH LiFePO4 battery for $582.00 seems to be the lowest buyout price I've seen to date.

I am happy with my BL-36 kit from Wilderness Energy (they have a list of vendors somewhere on their website, I got mine from www.bernsonev.com). Brushless FTW.

Apparently that is a Ping battery.

These are, indeed, Golden Motor kits. All I can say is buyer beware! I purchased a 48v kit with a regenerative controller directly from GM in China. The controller quit functioning after less than a mile. No one will answer my emails about replacement.

The kit came with NO instructions, the wheel was okut of round and wobbled side to side. Connections on the controller were not labeled, one of the brake switches was bad.

If this is a dealer operating in this country, you may have better luck.

I'm leaning toward the Ampedbikes for the kit. Haven't found any negatives about them on the net.
I agree with Zephyr Boy that they should provide everything that is needed...like batteries.
Maybe I'll get the kit from ampedbikes.com and the 48V 20AH LiFePO4 battery from ebikekit.com.

800 miles away from them. They are based in Calgary, but have
a US portion on their website.

I can also vouch for it's electric. I have been dealing with Ken for more than 2 years and have bought hubs, batteries and accessories from him. He ships fast, stands behind his products and is helpful.

I live in Toronto, that's thousands of kilometres from Calgary, but I get excellent service.
