Foo - Unretiring

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
And another pro athlete unretires.

Why can't stars go out (and stay out) when they are on top?
Don't do it Lance....just keep your memory "as is".

I agree but I suppose I can understand. These guys spent their lives competing at the highest level. To walk away thinking you still have ANY juice (pun semi intended I suppose) left in you mihgt create some internal resentment.
I understand going out on top, but whys it our place to judge an athlete for wanting to give er till they can't give any more.

The article seems reasonable, but I think Lance is too smart to race for no pay.
It would seem as if he is trying to help racing lose it's drug use reputation. ???????

So is Tailwind Sports still involved? I think he holds a pretty big stake in that, and if his team's not pulling in the big wins (for whatever reason) then he's probably not getting the bucks he expected. Of course, I think his ego is involved in this too.

Damn straight we're unretired. WTLW for the rest of you who don't keep up with the threadkiller thread.
:p
The article seems reasonable, but I think Lance is too smart to race for no pay.Why is that so hard to believe? If he's doing it because he enjoys racing, and he's already beyond filthy rich (and still making money from celebrity endorsements and crap like that), why not?
