I've commuted a couple of times on my Brompton, that's 38.5 mile round trip. It hurts my hands a bit, but then again the road isn't great and I'm running on Schwalbe Stelvios.

25 mile trip on my Dahon Mu P8, it's very comfortable and wasn't hard at all, i even like it better than my Trek 4300, it's light, nimble and fast... of course you need to get used to the smaller wheels but overall the ride is great. I am 5'5-5'6 with big torso and pretty short legs and the geometry of the Mu is the perfect balance, I could not be happier... oooh well, maybe I could... the bike didn't come with the cute girl from Dahon's website. lol
74 miles on my Bike Friday.

I thought that that pic was first posted in a thread in which you were saying how much you loved your curve?
About 80km. It was the maiden trip of a Mini125 (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=449452&highlight=) of few years ago.
The trip climbed to here and back from the town of Cuneo (Ita) :
http://www.climbbybike.com/climb.asp?Col=Bagni-di-Vinadio&qryMountainID=1487
While descending we measured a max speed of 58kph.
I am a trained cyclist. My ass is trained. It doesn't get sore. Besides it would get sore the same on a folder the on any other bike with a similar saddle.
"I am a trained cyclist."
You finally got those stablisers off then..
"My ass is trained."
You ought to keep that kind of info for a different forum :D
specifically for a 16" dahon curve d3...what is the longest (miles) you ever rode on this folding bike before your ass get sore? That depends entirely on whether the bike is properly set up for you and whether the saddle is good; wheel size is totally irrelevant.

61 miles on my Curve SL '07 - the first 10 of which were climbing to 3000 ft. Reached 60 kph on way down!

The long ride with some negative experience was the day after the picture. I still love the Curve, but not for what I need a folder for. The wheelbase is too short, if you do anything on irregular pavement, it becomes very unsafe. I almost went over the handlebars riding in front of a bus once, and that near death experience was the final notice.
I currently ride a slightly modified Brompton S6E.

I am an average bike communter biking around 5 miles per day and I just had my first attempt of a century ride this past Sunday in the NYC Century Bike Tour http://www.nyccentury.org/
I did it on my Brompton S6L and I am happy to say I was able to ride 86 miles of it and let me tell you there are some hills in NYC and it was interesting to see people riding big bikes standing up changing gears while I remain sitting switching between 3 & 2 gears.
On my S6L I have the Ergon GC 2 Grips http://www.ergon-bike.com/us/grips/gc2.html and the seat that saved my behind and family jewel is the ISM Seat http://www.ismseat.com/sport_saddle.htm which I got it from David Lam at Bfold in NYC.
I think I could have done all 100 miles had I got more than 3 hours of sleep the night before and trained for the ride. I will get it right next year...

I use Downtube 9FS daily, 70km back and forth (35km/ one way) daily to my office, In July & August, me and some of my friends (using a Dahon MUp8, Vitesse D6, Birdy, Dahon Rood7, Pacific Reach, Tikit Bike Friday, Dahon Speed P16) went to Bandung from Jakarta, it's about 140km. Some route is an extreme uphill, an the temperatures reach up to 41 degrees C at noon.
110 miles on my Boardwalk.
I bought my first (cheap, & heavy) folder last October and prior to that it had been 29 years since I last rode a bike any distance when I would commute 14 miles a day.
Since buying the Dahon MU SL I have done several trips of over 30 miles and a good few around the 15 mile mark including trips along the Wirral Way (old railway line converted into a 12 mile country park).
I know both my bike and I could do much longer rides but it is a case of finding the time at the moment.

21 miles on my Boardwalk S1 riding the Springwater Corridor Bike Path in Portland, OR - wife also did that ride on her Boardwalk D7.
25 miles on my Boardwalk D7 (original folder) during Portland's 2007 Providence Bridge Pedal
28 miles on our Bike Fridays, prepping for the 2008 Bridge Pedal. (We did a total of 110 miles that week - training + the Bridge Pedal)
We are in our mid-60's and best described as casual riders.
66 miles on a Dahon Speed 7.

About 37 miles on my Brompton around Ile d'Orleans outside Quebec on vacation this summer. It wasn't too bad overall, but the Brooks I have on that bike is kind of a dud--a bit saggy and not nearly as comfortable as the one I have on my road bike.

25 Miles - on a Strida3 (1/2 on a rough riverside path).
About 120 miles on a Brompton T5, 3-4 years ago.
Well, I've basically earned Cycling Merit Badge three times while riding my folder.
That's six 25 milers and three 50 milers. My Dahon Speed 7 is as comfortable as can be.
We're going for a 100 miler this year.
As a Cycling Merit Badge counselor, I feel it's important to impress upon the guys and gals that cycling is a viable means of transportation. One of our rides even incorporates commuting on the train! They LOVE it!
