I'm building a budget tourer. I just put $$$ down on Surly's "Long Haul Trucker" frameset. $400 for frame/fork. Pretty good. It wont be available for delivery until April. When it arrives...Frankenstein time. I've got buckets of metal waiting to get slapped on. Should have a good build for less than $600. Will be using half-step w/ granny for gears on 700x38's. I might invest in Ritchey's new adjustable stem as a luxury item.
