I am seriously considering turning my beloved Trek 6700 into a single speed. Has anyone else on here went totally single speed and do you have any regrets doing it?

i have...no regrets, it has been a blast. however, i am going to a 1x9 drivetrain just because it will allow better speed on some of the trails.

no regrets here either ... i don't even have a geared mtb at the moment ... but i do have the parts on hand to make mine a 1*9 if i need to ... about the only time i want more gears is on a real flat and open trail ...
