No. I don't like when people poke in to my private lives, and try not to do the same thing myself.

I wouldn't have done that. You don't know if she is a victim of spousal abuse and trying to get away from him and met her brother there.

You must not be from where I'm from. Here, you cannot get the information of the owner of a car or license plate unless you have a legitimate reason and you give YOUR info on the application it takes to obtain such. Your info is then sent to that person with a note saying that you inquired and why.

This was designed because of stalking.

heh, I'm surprised you can pull up info just like that with a license plate.

here, even if you give a full license plate with correct numbers and everything all you can do is file a complaint with the police.

Frankly, I don't believe your story and for the very reasons Siu stated; a law enforcement agency can not legally give you vehicle owner info. If the Sheriff's office did, they are in violation of Federal Law.
Here you go. Also, take a look at Section 2722 (b) since you lied about the reason for calling it in.

I don't think this is real, but regardless...I would stay the hell out of other people's business unless there's some sort of physical violence happening right then. Her hubbie will probably beat her tonight for trying to leave him...well done...

I'm kinda curious to see what everyone's responses would have been if it was a Dude getting into another lady's SUV. That double standard always kinda gets my goat.

I STILL wouldn't have done anything. It's none of my business. I don't know what is going on in his/her life.

Put it this way, If I never had it in me to go and call the police and tell a fib about it being left on property and if I never had it in me to call her husband and say she went off with another man then it's not in me to get involved with something that is none of my business.

Now if anyone (woman OR man) was getting physically assaulted then that's another story.
