So I recently purchased the Electra Boney Finger cruiser bike. Wow. What an amazingly comfy bike, and so fun to look at too!!

My only complaint comes from the seat. Well, not really the seat, but the springs. They're creaky as heck and a pain to listen to as I ride down the street. Any little bump and I'm up and down and the springs are making all kinds of noise. Is there anything I can do to stop this? I'd love a truely QUIET ride. Other than that, Electra makes a top notch bike, IMHO.

Thanks in advance everyone,
TB

This is sort of squeaking is normally made where the springs are connected to the stem or seat.
Try adding a little light oil to these connections.

That did the trick!!! I used a few drops of teflon chain lube on each pivot joins to the seat socket - it worked! Now my cruiser is nice and quiet, just the way I like it!

Thanks again,
Tim
