Maybe he'll become another Raymond Poulidor. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_Poulidor)

Saw that in the road forum.

Sounds like Brett Favre syndrom ;)

I've been thinking about this since I saw it this morning. Trek had 0 presence in the Tour this past year. Any rider that has ever "ridden" with lance either USPS or DC is announced accordingly. Johan has a beef to settle with ASO. Lance is still in shape, for the most part. He's newly single according to the tabloids (more time to race).

Lastly, the Livestrong Challenge this past year had a post ride survey. One of the questions was, would you still ride if Lance wasn't able to make it? The Livestrong Challenge San Jose lands smack in the middle of the TDF.

Personally I hope he fairs better then Mario, but it would be cool to see him blast around at the ToC.

After the excitement of the racing world, maybe its boring to just sit around in his mansion.. at his age, don't racers start to fade away.

Johan says that Astana has no arrangements with Lance and that he isn't going to race with them. http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/8539538/Report:-Astana-has-no-plans-for-Lance-to-join-team

Maybe Van Morrison predicted where Lance will ride for his comeback in the lyrics to "Astral Weeks"

If I ventured in the slipstream
Between the viaducts of your dream
Where immobile steel rims crack
And the ditch in the back roads stop
Could you find me?

I think this is great news! I want to see him show all 10 before he calls it quits.

I'll be watching his performance from under the sheets. I'm too scared of what the outcome may be. I really hope he can still keep up with the kids.

if nothing else, he will certainly boost attendance at the Tour de California.

To be born again...

Maybe Lance is thinking...

From the far side of the ocean
If I put the wheels in motion
And I stand with my arms behind me
And I’m pushin’ on the door
Could you find me?
