Introductions - Greetings from the grasslands....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I live and ride in the grasslands of the Thomson River valley east of Kamloops, BC. It's great country for exploring, which I do alot of with my neighbor. We are the only people here who ride bikes, everyone else rides horses like we USED to do. My bike gives me better exercise, doesn't have to be fed and never sweats. If we want to we can hook up with people in Kamloops where there are alot of trails. I ride cross country but recently have tried some downhill. I love it but will have to get some new wheels for that. So far I've been a one bike person, that being a Rocky Mountain Element 50. I started with a Trek which my kids coached me on. I hope to learn alot on this forum with the sharing of information. Glad to meet you all.

I have tried to convnce my husband to swing over to Kamloops on one of our trips up there (been up the Cariboo Highway several times on our way up to Canim Lake), but I still have not succeeded :( .
Is that an Irish Wolfhound?
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

The canine in the picture is, yes, an Irish Wolfhound. You can see she is as tall as my bike. We have been a pretty transient family and I always say that I can let go of, or sell anything except my bike and my dog.
Ya, Kamloops is a great area to explore in two wheels.

I ride along a multiple use path where I occasionally meet a man who runs with his Irish Wolfhound. Such beautiful dogs, and elegant, too!
It's a pity that he is always scowling when he's running. I would not be that miserable if I shared life with his dog!
