OK...so for work I travel a TON in the fall (7 weeks). This year I am going to try something new, I'm going to bring my bike. I did my test run with this a few months ago when I was down in Jersey and it worked out great. So here we go, I am only going to toss up the first few weeks of travel but does anyone know of good routes? Quality shops that might have some group rides? Other things I have to do while in town?

Week of Sept 15- Mercersburg, PA and Pittsburgh, PA
Week of Sept 22- Portland, ME; Orono, ME; Carrabbassett Valley, ME; Portsmouth, NH
Week of Sept 29- Saratoga Springs, NY
Week of Oct 6- Plainview- Long Island; East Rutherford, NJ

Suggestions? Ideas? I am going to float around mapmyride.com for the most part, seems I can find good rides off that site.

That's a good book that JR recommends - but I really recommend the one below. I've done a bunch from this book in NJ and they're awesome. The book has good maps and great descriptions. I think there are additional areas available in the series as well:
