'nother, just curious, what was your time to the gate?

I think we had figured somewhere around 45 minutes total based on ahpook's account (??). I'm not sure as I wasn't timing it myself, plus we stopped at the school for a few minutes to check on Ty's situation (there was word he'd had a mechanical issue of some sort). So that may be a bit misleading for comparison purposes.

Are we seeing a CX bike in your future?
Yes, ahpook... dooooo eeeeet!

Maybe I'll put CX tires on my Cannondale, which I never ride. I don't ride it for several reasons

1. It's not Titanium ... it's Aluminum
2. It's not Titanium ... but does have Campy Athena components
3. It's not Titanium ... but does have just about the same gearing
Yes, Ron... dooooo eeeeet!

Nice to meet you as well. I am slowly but surely putting faces with names here...

I'm not sure what my top speed was, but probably somewhere around 35. There are a few places down toward the bottom where gravity + pedaling can get you scooting pretty good. Have to be a bit more conservative at the top because the road surface is worse, and a lot narrower, plus the corners are a bit tighter. But below the school you can get flying pretty good.

I love descending. I figure, I can't go very fast uphill so might as well make the most of it going down :)

:thumb: I need to get riding more. The last several weeks have suck for ride time with kids' after school activities and my wife starting a workout boot camp. :( for me :D for her.

I don't need another bike for CX riding, I just need to strip the fenders and rack off my Jamis Aurora and get some semi-knobs. It's got cantis, it's got tire clearance, and its got a triple chainring.

Not to say I don't have new bike lust, it's just pointed in a different direction....
