They had their baby, my monkey...er, I mean niece last month on August 19.
Announcing Holly Sue (Sue named after my mom who died in '04)....the monkey that I'm an uncle of.

Congrats Termite...
Your first time with a niece/nephew to torment?
I suggest making up new meanings for common words... Nothing like confusing the child for years to come.

Yes, its my first niece/nephew unless you count the foster son my bro and his previous wife had for a year or two.
I will surely do my best to confuse the child with goofy words to carry on the tradition. My grandfather did it to us. It took me 13 years to realize there really wasn't a monster under the house called a KogelBogelAss; and there also wasn't a 25 foot pink snake under there either. I still have my grandfather's knack of saying bords wackwards all the time.
She looks exactly not like you.
Congrats to both of you on that.

I don't know...her face is kindof reddish...if she held her breath for just a little while we could probably get purple out of her.
Yeah, but no crown, devilish grin, or sparkly bling toof.

She'll have the sparkly bling toof soon enough....as for the crown, she has to EARN that!

Congrats!
My dad taught my son how to headbutt. It was fun picking him up that day. "Hey buddy, come give daddy a.." *THWACK* "SONUVA...where the hell'd he learn that!?!!?!"

I had a friend some years back who was quite annoyed with me when I taught her son to make a ROAR like lions do. He was quite good (and loud) at it! :D
Good luck uncle KT. Now just remember when she is bigger, that one of your jobs is to look after her for an afternoon filling her up with sugary treats before you send her back home to her parents.:D
I haven't seen my nieces and nephews in the flesh for about a year as my sisters live in another city and country.
She micturate on you, yet? You're not officially an uncle until that happens.

Well, I'm in similar boat as you, so I won't be having her over for the afternoon any time soon. They still live in Florida while I live in Washington. We are about 3200 miles apart.

Perfect situation...
Be sure to come back for ideas for birthday gifts in about 10 months.
Things like drums are timeless, but I am sure there are other more subtle ways to drive your favorite niece's parents to distraction. ;)

If you click through her pics fast enough it looks like she's dancing. Cute kid. I'd say she takes after you Chris, but then I'd be lying :D
