Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - What would you definately buy again?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A positive version of Mr Karsten's thread, are there any parts you would definately put on any and all future projects (or upgrade on old projects if you haven't already)?
I don't have any really, but I do insist on DT Swiss stainless spokes, and I really like Selle Italia saddles.
I like $10 Reynolds 531 frames. I'm tempted to say I'll always be on second hand inexpensive quality steel.

Although I don't need them presently, I just ordered 2 more Brooks Professional saddles in antique brown. Third Brooks saddle in 2 weeks.....just taking advantage of that sale. I'm saving them for another chop job for a rainy Saturday.
I still have a bunch of Enron which is worth jack. But I did buy some QQQ's this week. I've always had luck with them.

Oh, and a Surly Tuggnut, they rule (and maybe a Surly Jethro Tule, their little wheel spanner/keyring, but I don't have one yet, and it's not really a bike part).

Brooks.... it's all good.
Reynolds 531 or Columbus SP. Cast lugs, ends, drop-outs or track ends, fork crown and bottom bracket shell.
Mavic rims
The best hubs, headset and bracket available at the price I want to pay . If I ever wear out my Stronglight BB or Campagnolo/ Mavic hubs from the 80's, I might finally buy the Phil Wood hubs I've been promising myself. (The best hubs and BB for a winter bike might be a little cheaper, mind!)
A lockring;-)

Hey MKRG,
where do you find $10 531 frames? Ebay, I think not, but maybe yard sales.
Please tell me more.

I would definitely put old school deerhead Deore XT thumb shifters on anything that goes up to 8 speed. Phil wood hubs built to any assortment of Mavic rims and DT spokes. Those would be on all my bikes if I had the cash money.

Fixer,
Thanks for the link. I just ordered a B-17 narrow saddle. I've never ridden on one but have heard mostly rave reviews.
