Electric Bikes - how many volts can the izip take...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
well i started like everyone ...stock around 27v speed mid 20's kmh
same day straped another 12v 12ah on the back for 40v freewheel speed 54 kmh
3000km later put 42v limn freewheel speed 55.4 kmh
today 52v nicd freewheel speed 61.2 kmh
upped the nicd to 57ish wheelspeed..............69.6 kmh

cool. thanks fohe pics.
right away, I get ideas of reverse engineering it, but I guess they are cheap enough that it wouldn't be worth the time.
how hot does it get? cooling it might be easy with a CPU fan. you could mount the heat sink and fan to the external side of the chassis next to the fets. that way the enclosure could be kept sealed?
can you read me the markings off one of the FETs? I'd like to look it up and check it's specs, plus the vendor probably has a higher power version, too. Also, I'm curious if one of those ICs is a PIC controler.
if you already have it back together, don't bother, I'll probably pull mine apart one of these days.
it is back together...
speaking of reverse eng
i might be able to have a couple
of 200% cnc copies of this motor made
it's a good "little" motor
what would a big brother to this motor be like?
being able to controll the quality of parts
and workmanship put in?maybe even add cooling?
anyways it's something i've been looking into

i thought there was a 1000w version of the motor already used in a currie scooter. that would be less trouble, and it could give you the time to work on the mounting bracket instead.
yes aware of that motor but unsure
if it would mate to gearreduction on 1018z

if you CNC an adapter, and you can sell it on ebay to us, I'll buy one.
