PROGRESSIVE METAL STYLE!!!!!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VgLKXD-BoY&feature=related

yes, I know they screwed up the the ending.

For those of you who don't know what Progressive Metal is, think Opera crossed with metal crossed with the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Incredibly epic.

You might try Kamelot or Symphany X. But after Nightwish, any other Prog Metal band sounds kind of weak. Nightwish also does a few insturmentals that can blow you out of the water, such as "Last of the wilds." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCJYsxVNDc0&feature=related.

Prog Metal usually entails an orchastra to get that "epic" feel plus a regular metal band to achieve a high energy, fast paced musical piece.

Nightwish is my favorite, but I really like Kamelot and Symphany X is fairly decent.

I see prog metal as a way of making an epic movie without the film.

That one had a Celtic feel to it. :)

I like their style!! I think you might have turned me on to another type of music!! Thank you for introducing that to us. :thumb:

Wow. I didn't think it was possible to make Andrew Lloyd Weber sound even more over-the-top absurd. I was wrong.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Symphony X
