I was wondering if anyone could supply me with one bikesworth of Mafac centerpull brake bosses -- i.e., braze-ons. I'd like to set up my steel touring frame more or less like those old French bikes where the pivots are attached to the frame, rather than using an alloy yoke that bolts through the center brake hole which we all know and don't love. I've tried a bike with the brazed-on bosses and they make the brakes much, much stronger.
But I'm not sure where to get a set. Anyone know?
Also, does anyone know of a builder in NJ or Philadelphia who could braze a set onto a steel frame for me?
