They're saying Ike is going to make it all the way to the Dallas - Fort Worth area, and still have tropical storm strength, 40 mph winds, 4 to 6 inches of rain, and all. Can it really be so?

Looks to be true Bud, unless the storm from the Pacific makes it across and merges, then we might get ten inches of rain.

I plan to put the GillesBethoud's back on my 520 tonight.

Since I moved to the DFW area in 1990, no hurricane has made it this far north in Texas with as much punch as they're saying Ike will still have. I'm hoping there aren't major power outages, and considering the Saturday century I was going to ride at bit iffy, now.

Good luck to those further south in Texas.
