Yeah? How can you have pudding if you don't eat your meat?
The only reason tomatos exist are to make pizza sauce and ketchup possible.

Add a fried egg in there and I am your huckleberry. Also, I did not notice any tomato in your almost fully complete samwich list MV.
BTW, nice bit of irony in your post.

Sounds delicious. Almost good enough to justify the drive home for some homegrown 'maters.

Next try it with peanut butter (but sans basil).

sounds nice. Maybe I'll make ham sammies for lunch although that is hours away yet.
Tomato sammies wouldn't make a good breakfast.

That's what I said. That's what I did. Before I tried it.
And then I tried it.
And it was good.
Try it. I dare ya.
Make that a double-dare.
edit: P.S. Use real, 100% peanut butter, not that hydrogenated oil + sugar dilution that they call peanut butter.

Where I come from, only people with the fortitude resembling squid (aka, no backbone or exoskeleton) need the triple dog dare. So, I don't use it. It would be an insult.
But, a double-dare, that's still respectable and is an indication of something extremely fabulous. Kinda like a hit-over-the-head clue, without the club. For example, I double-dare you to eat a second piece of homemade pie.
My curiosity got the best of me after a month.
P.S.S. A hint: tomatoes, being a fruit, are both acidic and sweet. It thus could emulate something else we typically include in peanut butter sandwiches. Use red-ripe, preferably homegrown ripe, for your first time.
How do you make a tomatoe sandwich? I've never had one, but I love tomatoes.

I could go for the tomato and basil sandwich... but I have only tried them with mozzarella... now that is known by me to be tasty!

Oh yeah - I've done them with some fresh, soft mozz - yum. Of course the BLT still rules - but I was at work and no bacon there. Am tossing the rest of my tomatoes and basil on top of my salad tomorrow. I shopped a lot at the public market this past weekend and stocked up on fresh produce aka I stuffed the roommates refrigerator so full of stuff that I felt bad and so I spent Sunday breaking it down, freezing some stuff - but in the meantime making my week's lunches - and as it turns out - supper as well.
Tomorrow is Day four on the good stuff. Am getting a little unruly though as I keep passing the darn college kiosk that has a couple of salty soups available at lunch time so I may break down. hehe - plus when I look in the fridge at work and start to sigh at what I brought in ... I need a break. :p
i love anything with eggs

Tomato + Mozzarella + Basil = greatest combo ever, in any form.
Speaking of food, yesterday I came across a picture of a Macaroni and Cheese Sandwich. That's right, a Macaroni and Cheese Sandwich. Looked so good.

The Macaroni and Cheese would have to be homestyle macaroni and cheese. Not that easy mac crap. It has to have that light golden brown crunchiness on the top. Ketchup would be awesome. Man, I really want to make this now. Too bad I can't cook. At all. Seriously. I mess up popcorn.
