and dude, you're an MP; didja know there's a really popular 17 mile loop out there on the Fort? I'm not good at giving directions, but if you call Outspokin (http://www.outspokinbicycles.com/ 3223 Devine St.; Columbia SC 29205; 803-254-9797) -- they can give 'em to you.

by the way, what's this I've been hearing about the army going back to a .45? even a 1911 style or (hell yeah!) an actual 1911 itself? what's your feeling? would you still want to keep that dinky needle-hole-puncher 9mm Beretta?

LOL!,

If you're into mtb Columbia is not all that far away from the Smokies. Weekend trips could bring you to some of the best mtb trails in the east.

thanks for the PM, dude!

I didn't realise you were looking for MTB stuff; that route on the Ft. I mentioned was for road, actually.

as far as trails, when I was doing them, I did Harbison, just like you've already found. as a matter of fact, I'm planning on doing some fairly serious-ish riding with my uncle, who's pretty good, so I've got to get ready before I see him in June/July. wanna go riding sometime, drop me a line! or hell, if you just want to grab a beer or something, etc.
