Looking for a couple folks to do some weekend rides S and W of Naperville during the fall season. There are plenty of group rides here, just not ready to join in yet.
As far as my pacing, last ride was 35 miles at 17.5 mph this past Saturday, looking to ramp that up somewhat in distance and speed, we should be able to do that with a few bodies. Looking forward to meeting some area riders.
i am just south of you and ride out in the area you are talking about all the time. however, my weekday rides are getting limited due to the shorter days. around this time of year i become a weekend only dude.
i have done the Endure IT (http://www.endureitsports.com/calendar/month.php)bike shop ride that leaves from the school at 111th and 248th on Saturdays. they call it a "B" ride and it normally splits into three seperate groups, the lead pack will roll int between 19 to 21 mph with the rest of the folks following. it is 30 to 40 miles. point is it is a nice group ride to break into the group scene with it. mainly tri riders who are nice and steady riders.
if you can do 17.5 solo you can do 19 with a group easy. trust me. later.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard about this ride, and wasn't sure I could keep up but sounds like I should do o.k. (I'll be passing on it this weekend, though, due to the weather.....:)
Any ride that isn't associated with Spokes is alright in my book. :thumb:
