Not sure why he didn't follow the Euro trail.
Domestic racing will seem like such a let down after winning the Tour, but then maybe he's just looking for some easy dollars until his stint at the police academy is finished.

Bingo. The dude needs cash. Why go fishing in a pond that might not have any fish if he has a sure thing here.

Landis did not win the tour. He only briefly made you think he did. Please try to keep this distinction in mind.

As he looks for his second career. I could have just as easily said, as he waits for an opening at the DMV.

It could be he's just burnt out on the Euro racing scene, what ever your perspective is on his guilt or innocence, he has to think he was wronged. Here he gets to live and race in the US, make some money doing what he loves and most likely get a warmer reception from the fans. Don't forget he's had a hip replaced, and he isn't 25 years old anymore. The lure of racing for a continental team in Europe probably wasn't enough to offset the downside.

And he probably saw that crap that Tinkoff pulled with Hamilton last year.

I hadn't even considered that. Think of all the dis-invites any Euro squad would suddenly see if they signed Flandis.
