Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I came across this bike, and haven't bought a new complete bike in a while. What do you guys think? Columbus steel frame with decent components, and so-so fork.
2006 Marin Eldridge Grade Columbus for $590 out the door.

Think it's worth picking up?

Is this used, or New Old Stock? Seems a bit too high for used...
If its a brand new bike from a shop, not a bad deal. If you like it, and it fits well, go for it. Idiots on craigs list would try selling it for that or more used.

It's brand new, just a left over. Not even a demo or ever assembled. I figured it was a good deal, but just needed to make sure with all these new components available today (shadow, stroker, 5" of travel for XC bikes, etc). Gonna give it a run this weekend. Thanks guys.

2006 Marin Eldridge Grade Suspension Fork Upgrade
Greetings,
I have a 2006 Marin Eldridge Grade bike with the Cantilever brakes that I want to install a suspension fork onto. Has anyone made this mod and what fork did you use?
Happy trails
Dave
