Just get normal skate shoes, they are over priced and only worthwhile if you are going for clipless. Shimano trainers generally also look pretty crap. Their proper velcro clipless race shoes are ok.

Not sure how those are, but I know that if you're into BMX you're best bet is some kind of skate or BMX specific shoe...

They really nice clip shoes, but I wouldn't just ride flats with 'em.
