Hi all,

Does any one have a clue as of where could i find a marzocchi z1 2003 dropoff service manual? I am talking about the proper service manual and not the crappy short version that comes with the new forks. Marzocchi site doesnt have them coz they say they ll give them only to dealers as they dont want users to service forks on their own....

Yannis
Thanks in advance.

Try calling Norco, or the local distributor, they might have an idea.

I know they did have them on the web site a few months ago, I got one for my Z1. Seems like I had to register first or something but I did get the real service manual. I'll look around later this evening and see if I can still get to it.

MikeOK can you send me this Z1 manual you got? The local UK distributor refused to send me one, as well as marzocchi Italia.

math - for some reason this machine will not let me stay logged in, maybe my PM's are not getting out. Click here (http://www.marzocchi.com/system/2110/2003Bomber_en.pdf) and see if that's what you want. It doesn't look like the same manual I have at home but might work for you. If not let me know and I'll find mine at home in the morning...

Rasheed,

This site may have what you're looking for, I'm not sure: manuals (http://www.wayoftheinbred.com/manuals/). If that's not it and you manage to get something fancier, could you let me know? I've got an 03 Z1 FR on its way. :)

my fork's a 2003 z1 with 2004 parts (crown, stanchions and some of the internals).

gastrocnemius, thanks for the link. i'll check out the manual and see if it's got what i need.

arguably the best single crown freeride fork on the market.

Yes, yes they are!!!

I've got them on two of my bikes!

I just got a SC Shiver that I've yet to mount because I'm not sure I want to give up my Z1.

The only fork I have found that compared for its BEAUTIFUL feel is the manitou slider SPVevolve. There is no comparisson really.

again, thanks for the link. i checked out the manual they got for the z1 fr, and it looks like it’s the manual for the 2002 or an earlier z1. the 2003 manual on the marzocchi site ain’t much help – it doesn’t even tell you which knob’s the preload and which one’s the rebound, left or right  . the 2004 manual doesn’t help much either, since i looks like they added air assist to the z1 fr – which the 2003 doesn’t have.

the 2002 manual from that link’s pretty good though. it shows you how to remove the springs and how to change the oil and whatnot, which is good. i hope that i can use that info on my fork.

can anyone with the 03 z1 let me know if the flathead screw adjust on the top of the right leg is supposed to spin with the knob (cause mine does)? as well as which of the two is the preload (i think it’s the left knob, but i’m not entirely sure) and which one’s the rebound? the on the 2002, both knobs are for preload, but i don’t think the 03 is the same... i could be wrong though.

mat where are you? i need that manual, heh.
