You're taking the "Y" in FYI too personally :) The link was not for cognoscenti like yourself, nor was it intended to be "news". The link was for folks who haven't even visited this forum yet, and also for people just searching on Google et al (links from other sites being one of the ways a result gets ranked within the result-set.)
Have you ever seen the Kurosawa film Dersu Uzala, in which Dersu repairs a small shelter out in the middle of nowhere in the Siberian taiga and leaves a little tea there for the next hunter or trapper who comes by?
