Just put the final touches on her this afternoon, so pleased with myself :) But it's too dark and cold to go for a ride, so I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow :( I'll post some pics when my Mum brings the digicam back from New Zealand.
But I did find something rather odd when it was upsidedown on my workbench, when I was setting the chain tension: if I hand cranked it really fast, then let go of the pedal, as the wheel slowed down, the chain would wobble, almost resonate. Is this normal? I tried it with the chain just right, too loose and too tight, it still happened. The chainline is spot on; the cogs are both 3/16ths, the chain is 1/8th. There is a slight tight spot, but nothing major. It's never happened on my BMX, I guess it's a fixed gear thing. I thought maybe it was because the pedals were unloaded, but it's hard to put force on them with your hands and still hold the bike upright.
