Road Cycling - Good news Bad news

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Good, just recieved my Giant TCR 0. Bad, it snowed 1 foot last night. I can not wait to try out the carbon frame and DA 10. Go away snow! :)
I hear ya. I got my Trek 5500 on Christmas day and puttered around the neighborhood for 3 days until I could get fit. On my fitting day, it snowed/sleeted over a foot and crippled the roads for over a week. Portland doesn't deal well with ice and I was hesitant to take the new baby out. All is well now though - lots of good rides.
It is fun just staring at it too.

Good news...if you ship it out to me I'll ride it around for you and tell you what it was like. Maybe even send you a few pics!! Better news.....I won't even charge you for this service! Bad news.....the bike might get "lost" on it's way back to you.

Most of the back roads in my town are covered in a layer of rutted snow and ice, but the highways are fairly dry :D

you could use Cat Eyes bicycle trainer."It offers you the best of fan and magnetic trainer units in the CS1000 Cyclosimulator. This is a serious training tool that allows you to increase grade and workload". Three friends of mine also get Giant tcr this year

Good news: I finally finished my fixie project last night.
Bad news: It was dark out when I finished it, so I had to wait 'til this morning.
Even worse news: Woke up this morning to 3 inches of evil white stuff, so I'll have to wait even longer.
Slightly better news: The snow's melting pretty quick, with a lot of luck I'll be able to take it out this evening for a quick taste before it gets dark.
Really annoying news: If I can take it out this evening, it'll still be bitterly cold and I have no leg warmers or tights, so I'll freeze my knees off.
edit: Terrible news: It just started snowing. Grrrr, stupid Smarch weather.
good news: sun is up.. no rain.. everything is great.
bad news: derailer has cracked.. and money is tight :( have to wait til the end of the week.

I was busy in my office feeling particalarly smug about all the snow and bad weather in the East of the UK, as I am in the far west. Thinking about the great ride is was going to have tomorrow. All of a sudden I glanced outside to see great snowflakes coming down, damn. He who laffs last I suppose !
