Has anyone ridden this one before? Interested in your thoughts....

I did it last year, my first metric century. It's a good ride, well-organized. They seem to have fewer rest stops planned this year than last. They're moving the finish to the Comal County fairgrounds rather than Landa Park, which is right across the street from the Wurstfest building, and should mean less of a crowd problem at the end. Still free beer and sausage, altho last year they ran out of cups (we used our water bottles for the beer) and then they ran out of beer (I got only one). Good bike shuttle back to Austin, my bike was waiting for me when I got back to the starting line. Route is not overly hilly, mostly easy rollers. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to ride it this year.

I did it two years ago and would like to be able to do it again but probably won't be able to this year. We enjoy going to Wurstfest every year, so I rode down then my wife and daughter drove down to attent the fest and give me a ride back. Haven't tried the shuttle but hear it's very good.
There have been some tough years when the winds are blowing from the south. The year I did it, the winds were light and the temps were perfect.

You mean the bottle on my bike is meant for water? ;)
