So not feeling too well today - but had to get a group ride in since next week they are making me work for a living! So no more rides during the week :(. Maybe Fridays.... ANyway - I wnet on the Beginner Ride thru Vinings, Past Kenny Rogers House, into Buckhead and back. Tried to do the cadence thing (90 RPM) as much as I could. Which is hard for me - cause I know if I hit the big gears - I spin slower but go faster! So the slow group had 3 of us and one person was the leader - so really just 2 of us... I tried to do 90 - I found that my HR went up when i stuck to that - and tried to hit 75 on the hills..I am sure I went below that!

OK
Miles 18.04
Time 1:22:31
Avg Speed - 13.1 - SLOW
Max Speed 31.9
Cad Avg 76 - I thinkthat is overstated since sometimes the meter hits a high number for no apparent reason. For example it says Cadence Max 171 whoosh!
Avg Pulse - 151 (AWESOME)
Max Pulse 179
Calorie 889 (Not sure I believe it)

Anyway - what fun! I love this computer! OK carry on - Keep on riding! The Bee

I think your calorie counter is off by about 20%? Others will be able to weigh in.

Keep at it! You've inspired me to dig out the HR monitor that goes with my computer. I've never used it. Today was a much needed rest day, so I'll test it out tomororw.

I tend to believe your calories, I'd say that 50 calories per mile is pretty accurate for us Clydes. The people on the roadie forum burn 40-45 calories per mile from what I've read.

Cool hey if it's off by 20% so I burned 720 - either way - what amazing exerices...and to think I bought the bike to meet people!

ALso - I guess at 190- 192 pounds...(man I thought I would be thin by now! I feel thin though) anyway at an avg HR of 151 workout for 88 minutes - i think the calories would be between 600 -900 so I think it's close enough...

MisB are you riding in an urban area with traffic light? I find the loops under ground to sense the cars make my computer go psycho while I'm stopped on top of them.
